Military-transport helicopter The Mi-8 military-transport helicopter is designed to enhance the mobility of ground forces units and subunits and perform tactical landing of troops with light and group armament. The helicopter is designed on a conventional pod and boom configuration with a tail rotor. The crew members (commander, navigator, flight mechanic) are accommodated in a separate cabin in the nose part of the fuselage. The Mi-8 helicopter is powered by two TV2-117 turboshafts engines.

Heavy Military Transport Helicopter Intended for transportation and airdropping of personnel and equipment, as well as transportation of large-dimension cargoes in cargo compartment and on external attachment point. Auxiliary power unit and dust-protection devices arranged onto air intakes ensure enough autonomy of the helicopter and permit to fulfill take-off and landing on unprepared areas. Battle survivability of the helicopter is ensured by utilization of stand-off armor package, bullet-proof jackets for crew members, filling of fuel tanks with porous filler, as well as utilization of fire-prevention system and doubling and reservation of main systems.
