The autonomous aerial interception system in development is a next-generation counter-UAS platform designed to independently detect, track and intercept unmanned aerial threats.
With onboard sensing, AI-assisted perception and autonomous mission-management capabilities, the system is designed to assess its airspace, identify suitable targets and carry out an interception without external guidance.
A focused defensive mission
Throughout flight, target movement and environmental conditions are continuously assessed so that the interception concept can be adapted as the situation changes.
The program is based on an autonomous interception concept involving physical contact with the target. Its purpose is to provide an independent, scalable defensive layer against low-altitude aerial threats that require a rapid response, with reduced operator workload.

02Independent operation
The system is being developed to make mission-level assessments and execute its assigned role without continuous external direction.
The concept brings sensing, perception and autonomous mission management together at a general capability level. Detailed implementation remains undisclosed.
Protected by design
The sensor architecture, autonomous decision algorithms, navigation methods, interception assessments and other critical technical elements are being developed by FDI and remain within its proprietary technology portfolio.
